One person was seriously injured in a head-on crash after being trapped in the vehicle, according to the New York State Police.

The crash took place around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday at 3010 Pleasant Ridge Road in Wingdale, said AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police.

According to Hicks, one person was seriously injured and transported to the hospital. 

The crash is under investigation.
